A major new report spelling out how to provide the best bicycle parking facilities has just been published by Austroads.
The report called Bicycle Parking Facilities: Updating the Austroads Guide to Traffic Management, guides the design of bicycle parking facilities and helps identify appropriate provisions of bicycle parking and end-of-trip facilities.
Providing bicycle parking in accordance with the principles outlined in this report, can encourage bicycle use and the more efficient use high-value urban space.
In turn, this should mean more business for bicycle industry members.
Austroads is the peak organisation of Australasian road transport and traffic agencies.
Its members include all the state and territory based road authorities.
