After eight years of tirelessly working with the local community of Perth supporting local riders, Michael and Sarah Warr from AvantiPlus Cannington have announced that they have decided to take a break from the retail bicycle industry after successfully running one of Australia’s largest bicycle stores, AvantiPlus Cannington.
Mike and Sarah’s current team will continue to work in the store, and in the interim they will be supported by the Sheppard Cycles Retail Services team. Mike and Sarah will continue to manage and run the store until June 30th.
“We are very proud of what we have achieved over the last 8 years, and it’s been a very difficult decision to move on,” said Mike. “We would like to thank all those loyal customers over the years that have supported us along the journey, joining us on many in-store VIP nights and store rides. We have built a very strong business and community over the years, and we have our loyal customers to thank, plus the support of all our suppliers, namely Sheppard Cycles for their partnership over the years.” Sheppard Cycles Australia Managing Director, Steve Paraskevas commented, “The team at Sheppard Cycles would like to wish Mike and Sarah all the best for the future and we hope they enjoy their deserved break. I would personally like to thank them for their support over the past eight years, they have been one of the most pro-active retailers we have worked with for many years, and they have been an integral part in building AvantiPlus as the largest independently owned retail group in Australia and New Zealand. They have worked extremely hard to build a successful business and brand name in Perth, and we are happy to work with the existing team during this change.”
AvantiPlus Cannington is Perth’s largest single outlet cycle retailer with an extreme passion for supporting all cyclists and cycling events throughout WA. They have established both The Riders Club (Inc) and race teams in both the road and MTB disciplines.
